Meet My Gremlins

Introducing 3 GREMLINS that are robbing your thoughts and holding you back from being the person you were created to be.

Meet Lulu (I'm Your Identity)

3d Monster

I am the voice that says:

  • I don’t know who I am.
  • I don’t know where I come from.
  • I don’t know where I fit in.
  • I don’t know what my legacy is.
  • I don’t know what inspires or motivate me.
  • I am not special.
  • I don’t know what my message is.
  • What makes me unique?
  • What is my message?
  • I’m not sure what I’m passionate about.
  • WHO AM I?

I am the one who keeps you confused about your Identitythe true identity that God gave to you.

A lot of us at some point in time has asked the question “Who am I?”  Who am I as an individual?  What makes me stand out and unique?  What type of characteristics do I have?  What about my personality?

Although, our identity comes from our birth, race or cultural background.  God put something special in you.  He gave you your own identity when you were formed in your mother’s womb.  Psalms 139: 13-16 says: 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” NIV.  This is a great place to start in getting to know who you truly are and how your identity was formed.

Trying to figure out who you are is like using the GPS of life.  You hope it will give you a starting point and ending point.  But, it’s not that easy.  When we don’t know, we begin to shape our lives around what society thinks our identity should be (friends, relationships, careers, clothes you wear, car you drive, education, type of home you live in, etc.) leaving us ending up at a destination of unhappiness.  Also, because of a lack of history, we can’t base our identity on our background.  For example, no connection to family due do being adopted out or having little information about your birth family.

While trying to navigate through life, you will make many wrong turns and when you’ve made a wrong turn, and left your route to finding out who you are, God will navigate you back to the designated route.

You have gifts and talents in you that make up your true identity.  You have to believe in you enough to go exploring within yourself.  You don’t have to wear the mask of trying to be someone you are not. And now that you have come to a crossroad of this identity crisis, it’s time to learn who you are in Christ.  This is where your true identity comes from first and once you finally know who you are, your life will begin to fall into place.

You are not just victorious in this life, but are more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37)

God gave you a gift and an identity.  His word says, some of you will be apostles, some pastors and teachers, some prophets and some evangelists. (Ephesians 4:11-15).

You are handpicked by God to produce fruit…John 15:16

That inner voice and life wants to keep you confused about who you are but you have been equipped with tools that God has given you to live the identified life you were given (whatever that may be) to live.  And when you are on the designated route to your identity, it will not only feel good to you but, you will feel God’s peace.

When you are clear on your identity, then you are clear on your gifts and talents as well as your life’s purpose to be served for others.

So, will the real you stand up?

Here are some tips to help you to understand who you are:

  • Believe that you were created to be somebody special.
  • Know that your words have power. So, speak greatness over your life.
  • Stop nibbling on the bait from the negative voice within. Don’t let it over power you.
  • We (You) are His craftsmanship, His masterpiece designed for a purpose; to do good works that God had planned beforehand. Ephesians 2:10
  • Recognize and realize that you have a special gift. A gift that identifies who you are.
  • Set your identity GPS so it will keep you on the right route of your journey to discovering who you are.
  • Never doubt that you don’t have anything to offer because you do. God has people waiting for you and only you, your gifts and talents.
  • When that voice tries to confuse you about your identity, remember what Jesus said from John 15:1-5 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. My Father examines every branch in Me and cuts away those who do not bear fruit. He leaves those bearing fruit and carefully prunes them so that they will bear more fruit; already you are clean because you have heard My voice. Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. A branch cannot bear fruit if it is disconnected from the vine, and neither will you if you are not connected to Me. I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you abide in Me and I in you, you will bear great fruit. Without Me, you will accomplish nothing.” (The Voice Bible)

Meet Lacy (I'm Your Inner Power)

3d Monster Inner Power

I am the voice that says:

  • You could never do or be that.
  • You have no self-value or worth.
  • You will only fail even if you try.
  • Your dreams are not real.
  • You have low self-esteem.
  • You will never follow through with your goals.
  • You will never be the person you want to be.
  • You don’t have any talents or gifts.
  • You don’t deserve to be happy.
  • What’s wrong with you?
  • You just can’t.

I am the one who steals your Inner Powerthe internal drive that you have within you that inspires you to pursue and reach your goals so you can live an extraordinary life.

And you are the very person that can take it back!  You are the one that can reach within yourself and say “Yes I Can!”

You can reclaim your power and be driven to succeed and refuse to let that voice stop you from achieving anything you set your mind to do.  No one can take away your Inner Power not even you unless you allow that voice (your own thoughts) to overpower you.

Reclaiming your Inner Power is important because you get your confidence, self-value and especially your self-esteem back, because you will be able to stand up for yourself and most of all take control over your life and the things you desire to achieve.

That voice may have been stealing your Inner Power for years, but it is possible to get it back.

Here are some tips that can help you reclaim your Inner Power:

  • Start by changing your thoughts about yourself. You have to believe in you first.

Romans 12:2 The Voice (VOICE)

Do not allow this world to mold you in its own image. Instead, be transformed from the inside out by renewing your mind. As a result, you will be able to discern what God wills and whatever God finds good, pleasing, and complete.

  • Look at all the greatness that is within you. Only you and God knows what you are capable of becoming.
  • Think about what you are good at.
  • Find things and people that empower you and draw strength from that.
  • Find at least 3 good affirmations that you can remember and say about you every day.
  • Putting your daily thoughts on paper will help you to empty out and leaving room for INNER PEACE.

Remember, next time that inner voice tries to plant seeds of doubt in you, affirm what Philippians 4:13 says: New King James Version (NKJV) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Meet Lily (I'm Your Life's Purpose)

3d Monster Life's Purpose

I am the voice that says:

  • I feel like I’m here on earth serving no purpose at all.
  • I feel like my life has no meaning.
  • I have no joy.
  • I don’t fill fulfilled.
  • I don’t know what my talent(s) or gift(s) is/are.
  • I don’t know what the future holds.
  • I don’t know what to do with myself.
  • Did God forget about me?

I am the one who plant seeds of doubt about your Life’s Purposethe reason why you exist.

You do have a Life’s Purpose because God put something unique in you that you can only share with those who are anointed to receive what you have to offer.

You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16 ESV

You may feel like you are just existing and serving no purpose.  You wonder what is “that thing” I was created to do?  How do you identify it?  How do you unleash your purpose if you don’t know what it is?

Not knowing your purpose will have you feeling as if you have no meaning, unfulfilled and no joy.  You will always feel that something is missing and you are not utilizing your gifts or fulfilling your dreams because you’re not sure how to make that happen.

We are all put here for something.  Therefore, we all have a purpose.  Do you feel like you are here to inspire others (to influence, motivate, or encourage)?  Or empower others (make them feel stronger and more confident)?

It doesn’t matter the amount of money you have, what type of relationship you are in or having a good career.  You won’t feel fulfilled if you haven’t identified your true purpose (that thing that is burning on the inside and needs to get out and be shared with the world).  It doesn’t matter what that voice says, you do have a purpose in you, it just hasn’t been discovered yet.

Jerimiah 29:11 says: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

You have something in you that you were born to do, and trying to duplicate someone’s else’s purpose won’t work.  Your purpose is custom made just for you.  Although, there may be similarities, the two of you are unique and the way you do things will be different.  Also, when you compare yourself to someone else’s purpose, it will affect your own and that voice will kick in.

Life can sometimes get in the way and block your purpose such as starting a family that will cause you to put your own life on hold.  But, somewhere in the mix your purpose gets buried or tucked away.  Also, doing things in life that won’t allow you to have time for yourself will have you wondering if you have a purpose in life. Regardless of what it is, you do have a purpose in life that needs to be fulfilled.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Romans 12:2

Here are some tips to help you uncover and unleash your Purpose.

  • Believe that you have a purpose.
  • Realize that regardless of your situation, you have the ability to discover your purpose.
  • Release any negativity that stands in the way of you pursuing your goals and dreams.
  • Release any limiting beliefs that has the potential to hold you back.
  • Think about what gifts and talents you have and how you can develop them.
  • Believe that you have value and that you can make a difference.
  • Look at challenges as an opportunity for you to discover your purpose.

Remember, next time that inner voice tells you that you have no purpose, affirm that you do and that you deserve to live a fulfilled life.  God did not forget about you.  Purpose is in you!
